Tanning Instructions
- Use a pair of protective eyewear. This is the only way to block UV rays
100%. The results of not wearing them could lead to permanent eye damage
including complete blindness.
- You will find a sanitized towel for your use in your assigned tanning
room. Make sure to put the towel in the towel receptacle located in the
lobby area when you have finished tanning.
- Use a baby wipe that is located at the front counter to remove dirt,
oil, or cosmetics from your face. (Clean skin tans best)
- Go to your assigned room. Lock door.
- You can tan nude, bathing suit, etc. Apply tanning accelerator lotion
(Indoor Quality Only). For your face we recommend using a facial
accelerator. If you choose not to tan your face you should use SPF 30
sunscreen while tanning, and then you could use a sunless tanning product
after showering to blend color and a bronzing powder if necessary.
- We recommend removing contact lenses; however, it is not required.
If you want to get a very dark tan as fast as possible and have your tan
last twice as long, you can achieve these results by using a good indoor
body and face tan accelerator. See the consultant for choosing the level
that’s right for you.
- Protect tattoos from fading by applying SPF 25 lip balm.
- Protect your lips with SPF lip balm. Lips do not produce melanin and can
dry out and burn easily
- Tanning beds are controlled by our computer. When you reach your room, you
will see a 5 on the timer. This indicates that you have 5 minutes to undress
and apply lotions before your session time begins. PLEASE NOTE: The bed will
come on by itself, after the delay time is over. You must press the START
button anytime during the 5 minute delay time to turn on the unit.
- After showering, apply an after-tan moisturizer. This will lock in
moisture and
extend the life of your tan.
- Be considerate of clients waiting. Dress and leave room as quickly as
possible.
- Take your goggles to the front counter and deposit them in the
disinfectant
container.
Tanning Rules
We appreciate you visiting our salon and hope that you will feel relaxed and

or refer to our medications list. Make sure to check the list of medications
posted
in the salon for photosensitivity drugs.

tanning
products. No SPF's.

- Do not kneel on the acrylics, they could crack and you can go
right through them.
Tanning Tips
- If you exercise, try to do so before tanning as the increased blood flow
will
produce melanin faster.
- Shaving and showering are recommended before tanning. Clean, exfoliated
skin
tans better. It's best not to shower for at least 2 to 4 hours after tanning
if you are
using a lotion with a bronzer in it. The bronzers in the lotion take 2 to 4
hours to
work. Showering after tanning does not "wash away your tan". That's a myth.
- Never use soap. Use cleansing creams or gels. Soaps robs the moisture
from
your skin.
- Alternate positions: Visit a stand up unit for an all-over to even up
tan.
- Use a good indoor accelerator lotion or gel. No oils. Apply to entire
body and
face before tanning.
- Use an after tan/shower moisturizer.
- Drink lots of water to hydrate the skin.
- The key to tan is moist skin.
- Burning will not make you tan any faster. Never Burn.
- Visit our Sunless unit for immediate color. NO UV rays. Please keep in
mind
that this is not an established tan. You are not as protected from outdoor
rays as
you are with regular tanning bed use.
- When building a base tan you can come in every day. It can take up to 24
hours
for complete results to show. Tanning is a process.
- You can purchase body tattoos to see continual results.
- Take your tan to the next level by moving to a level 2, 3, 4 or 5 bed.
- Note on tanning nude: Be careful when exposing areas of your body that
have
never seen the sun. They will bum!!! Expose these areas gradually until get
caught up with the rest of your body. Always use an SPF sun block when
tanning
outdoors. Never, never, let your skin burn.
